Portraits I did for Harry Penano and Chinky Lantin’s wedding! Printed on 11x14 silk prints, set in white frames. These were displayed on the wedding reception’s candy buffet by our new little collaborative project called Dreamsmith Creatives. Sweet!

Lately, my actual hyperactive imagination has gotten quite a few things to keep itself rather preoccupied and on its toes, and I’m really grateful.
On a slightly related note, this is me, my husky Morpheus, little aspin Marshall, and Mau, our crooked-tailed home cat. They can heal any heartbreak, you know, and can heal me of any stress or heartbreak.

Finally finished this (it’s 2AM!), after my laptop decided to go ballistic on me today.
It’s a reinterpretation of one of the most magical movie sequences I have ever seen in my entire life - Ariel giving up her voice in Disney’s “The Little Mermaid.” And yup, I still haven’t moved on from drawing giant squids and octopuses.
This is for Illustration Friday’s theme this week, “Vocal.” Seeing the topic instantly reminded me of that absolutely amazing scene.

I have always been fascinated by the imagery of Saint Eustace, who, legend has it, “was a pagan cavalry officer to whom Christ appeared in the form of a deer with a crucifix between its antlers,” (according to Christian Iconography). Having experienced conversion because of the apparition, Saint Eustace refused to make a pagan sacrifice, angering the Emperor Hadrian, who ordered for Saint Eustace and his family to be burned alive inside the statue of a bronze bull.If the crucifix-between-antlers looks familiar, it’s also the logo of Jägermeister, that awesome, awesome German drink.I’m either very religious, or borderline alcoholic.

“La Luna Bella”Two things:1) Wanted to try drawing without outlines, as well as incorporating settings into a picture. This took me around 200x longer to make, but I’m pretty happy with it. Still lots to improve on though. 2) This was inspired mostly by Taylor Swift and The Civil Wars’ video Safe and Sound for The Hunger Games soundtrack. I’m not a Tswizzle fan; in fact, Safe and Sound is her only song I voluntarily finished listening to. Very pretty song so congrats to her.

Hey it’s my first sort of real comic! This is what happens when I watch TV, so I have to thank the dumbbox for this. You see, this morning, I caught an episode of Project Runway Philippines Season 3, and their challenge was to use indigenous fabrics. And then my train of thought went from the origin of indigenous fabrics (the most popular is made from Pineapple fibre), and then leather from cows, and then that maybe somewhere out there, a maniacal fashionista must be trying to out-gaga lady gaga by using human foreskin for leather, because both the meat dress and condom suit are so passé. Yup. I’m gross.

Hi Paul Jatayna @paulhighness!Couldn’t stop doodling after I drew Ant last night, so I put it to good use and decided to draw more people in blazers! As you’ve noticed I’ve been drawing lots of folks in jackets haha, and I’ve been wanting to draw this look since I saw Paul (of Paulhighness) post it a few days back. So awesome. He’s one of the designers of the awesome accessories brand OS, by the way! Check them out!

Hi Anton @alphabeticalife!I’ve never really sketched a real person before, so when Ant asked me to draw him I took it as a chance to ~challenge mahself~. Used a photo of his as a reference, of course. I think this is a great way to practice! Check his great blog at Alphabeticalife!
